President's Message
Welcome to the KCC web site which has been up and running since December 1998. I hope you will find our site interesting and informative and enjoy searching through the pages.
If you are a member you
will not need me to tell you much about the Club and what it has
to offer. Simply enjoy roaming the site and finding out what you
want. You may wish to see what is happening
in the Club this month or you may wish to check out how your sports
team is doing.
If you are not a member,
let me tell you a little bit about the Club. Originally formed
as a Cricket Club in 1904 (the Club celebrated its centenary year
in 2004) the KCC has developed into one of Hong Kong's finest
sporting clubs competing in a number of sports. These include
cricket, lawn
bowls, hockey, squash,
tennis and football.
We also have a flourishing ten pin bowling
section as well as a golf society and
a wine society. Let me not forget the snooker
and horse racing aficionados. We have
a box at both Happy Valley and Shatin race courses. We have also
a very active social calendar and our
food and beverage outlets are extremely
well used as we provide top class Western, Chinese and Indian
cuisine.
Our green cricket field
is an oasis in the heart of Kowloon and is our most valued asset.
There are many overseas
clubs that have reciprocal
affiliation with KCC and details of these can also be found on
this site.
To anyone using this site,
member or visitor, you can be sure that the KCC values its reputation
for being the friendliest and most cosmopolitan Club in Hong Kong
and will strive to maintain it.
Of course if you are in town then please drop in and see the real thing
